How is that OK?

After a full day of bike riding (kinda – I got called to work about an hour into the ride), swimming (yes, the water was freezing but we did swim), and playing, Stephanie and I took Zander to see “Open Season” last night.  It’s a cartoon about a domesticated bear that saves a deer from being slaughtered by a hunter before open hunting season begins.  It started out great – it was funny and Zander was glued to the big screen.  Then out of nowhere, Stephanie and I both look at each other and say “Did he just say Orgy?”

The Door Swings Open

Without my bike (flat tire), I had to choose – ride the bus the whole way to work, or drive the car. I chose to ride the bus. I have not walked the long walk from my house to the bus stop in months. I forgot how long it takes to walk that half mile, and so I missed the bus. Not by much, I was about a football field’s length away when the bus went flying by me and past my stop. I had thirty minutes until the next bus was scheduled to come by…

My Bus Ride Home…

I wanted to get home early today so Stephanie could go to a church function.  I left work in hopes of catching an earlier bus than usual, but when I got to the stop, the bus wasn’t there. Valley Metro lost it.  Yes, its missing.  When I called, they told me that it was not on the GPS screens and they could not reach the bus driver over the radio.  The 4:30 bus is just ‘off the map’.  So I start cycling home, and I should have kept going…
