New Tag Cloud

CloudHey – another website update! I’ve added a “Tag Cloud” to the About Us page and in the sidebar on the right.

What’s a Tag Cloud?

Its a cool way to navigate my posts based on categories and keywords. You’ll see a bunch of links to keywords and categories that vary in size and color based on how many posts match that keyword or category.  You have likely seen one before on other websites, but just didn’t know what it was called. I’m still working on some of my ‘tags’ so its an evolving cloud – and as I add new posts, it will continue to update. Regardless, you can always get the latest just by coming to the home page.

Still aren’t sure what it is? Check it out, let me know what you think…

Who are you to judge… yourself?

Romans 9

20But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ ” 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

Satan is the accuser of the brethren (Rev 12:10).  When we speak against our fellow Christians, we become evangelists for Satan.  This concept is easily understood by the Church when applied as a deterrent for gossip or other externally directed accusations.  Interestingly, we seldom if ever consider the implications when we are accusing ourselves.  Most likely, I suppose, this is due to the fact that we know already or at least we seem to think we know, whether or not our accusations have merit, and therefore become not only our accuser and also our own judge.

my dream – looting a gas station, taking advantage of a friend

I looted, took advantage of a friendship, and put my wife in danger.

I don’t remember what happened that caused us all to start looting a gas station, but I remember jumping in and taking anything I could.  At first, I was just grabbing the stuff I was already going to buy, but then I thought I might be able to resell some of the stuff I took.  I looked for anything expensive — but its a gas station right.  I grabbed oil.  I went to the car to unload what I had taken, thinking I would just run back in and take even more.  While I was doing that, people all around me were grabbing stuff off the shelves, just like I was.  I remember thinking, “what’s wrong with these people?”  Stephanie asked what was going on when I dropped the stuff I had stolen off in the car.  “Nothing, just start packing this stuff up” I told her.  When I got back to the gas station, the door was locked.  A friend of mine (I have no idea who it was, just that I knew the guy) was inside, wearing a gas station uniform.  He asked what I was doing, I asked him for a two liter of soda pop.  “I can’t, I could lose my job” he said, but I was convincing.  “I just need a drink, man. I won’t be long and look, so much is already gone, what would anyone notice?”  There was someone else in the store with him that I didn’t recognize. He let me in.
